Required for January 2017 at this all through Academy an ambitious, enthusiastic and inspirational TEACHER OF MEDIA. You will be working in a forward looking and supportive faculty alongside staff who specialise in Performing Art -(Drama, Music).
The purpose built Media facility is well equipped and has been operational for a few years . Students are excited by the subject which has rapidly grown to offer classes at KS3, 4 and 5. We are keen to appoint a candidate who will lead this department to further growth to take its rightful place as a showcase of creativity, passion and excellence.
Successful candidates would be joining a friendly, experienced and supportive team within the Secondary section of an all through Academy from Reception to Key Stage 5.
You will be joining The Academy at a time of rapid and sustained improvement. We encourage all our employees to take part in the wider Academy community so if you have recreational or sporting interests you will be encouraged to make a significant contribution.
All our teachers who are in "training" will receive a personalised mentor and significant support from Academy personnel to become an outstanding practitioner.
Situated within easy walking distance of Abbey Wood station (30 minutes from Central London) and part of the soon to be completed cross rail project we also have free parking and allocated parking spaces for staff who choose to drive.

About The Business Academy Bexley
The Garrard Academy, formerly known as the Business Academy Bexley, is to join the Harris Federation from September 2017. Its new name will be the Harris Garrard Academy.
The Harris Federation was invited to become sponsor of the Garrard Academy in order to accelerate its path out of the ‘Special Measures’ Ofsted category it was placed into in May 2016.
It will be the third ‘all-through’ academy in the Harris Federation.
