Job overview

The role

The Academies are looking to appoint a competent and enthusiastic teacher to join our Modern Foreign Languages department. The Modern Foreign Languages teaching post will allow the appointed candidate an opportunity to work with a team of highly motivated individuals across the Modern Foreign Languages team with a range of experiences and expertise.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver Modern Foreign Languages at KS3 and KS4. We are looking for a conscientious, dedicated team-player who has good subject knowledge and a passion for Modern Foreign Languages with the ability to enthuse students and staff into continuous improvement.

The successful applicant would also have the opportunity to work closely with the Academy sponsor and Modern Foreign Languages subject advisor across the South. We welcome applications from people at all stages of their teaching career.

Glenmoor and Winton Academies are the highest performing schools in Bournemouth and have recently been graded outstanding by Ofsted in all areas. We would welcome any potential applicant visiting the Academies, and meeting the Principal prior to submitting an application. Please email dcripps@glenmoorandwinton.org.uk if you would like to take up this opportunity.

The Academies are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, therefore all applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and an Enhanced Disclosure via the DBS. To comply with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006, all prospective employees will be required to supply evidence of eligibility to work in the UK.

United Learning

Glenmoor and Winton Academies is part of United Learning, a large, and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.

Our schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.

As a Group, we can reward our staff better: with good career opportunities, better pay, benefits, and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. We invest in our staff wellbeing. Our academies each have at least eight INSET days per year (with three of those solely dedicated to planning), and an ongoing group-wide wellbeing programme. It's an ethos we call ‘the best in everyone’.
