Wallington High School for Girls is a highly successful multi-cultural selective academy at the heart of Wallington in Sutton, Surrey with a strong emphasis on learning and teaching and on academic success. With a large sixth form, we focus on providing the best possible educational opportunities for all of our students.

We wish to appoint a talented, inspirational and highly motivated teacher of Spanish to cover the maternity leave of the permanent post holder.

You will be a key member of a department that:

We welcome applications from both experienced colleagues looking for a new challenge as well as from NQTs keen to develop as an outstanding teacher.

The successful applicant should have a good working knowledge of the new AQA GCSE and A level syllabus and exam specifications and be able to teach Spanish from KS3 to KS5 (Oxbridge level). Experience of teaching Spanish literature and film at A Level is also desirable.

About Wallington High School for Girls

Wallington High School for Girls is a secondary grammar school with a sixth form located in Sutton, Greater London. Since September 2015, Wallington High School for Girls has been part of the Nonsuch and Wallington Education Trust.

Wallington High School for Girls has established transport links and is accessible via the nearby Wallington rail station. The school is twinned with Wallington County Grammar School for Boys, located 1.5 miles away. Wallington High was founded in 1888. A time capsule was buried in the grounds in a 125th anniversary celebration in 2013.
