We are looking to appoint for September 2023 an enthusiastic linguist with the ability to teach French to KS5 and Spanish to KS3. The ability to offer Spanish to KS4 would be desirable. Applications are also welcome from ECTs.

Modern Foreign Languages are very popular subjects at Copthall with French and Spanish both taught in Year 7 across the ability range and up to A Level. The department has achieved some excellent GCSE results over time with Spanish and French being amongst the highest in the school in terms of progress and attainment with results consistently well above national averages.

MFL is a popular subject and the department has achieved some excellent GCSE results over time, with a significate number of students opting to study at KS5.
