Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages, (German and either French or Spanish)

Langdon AcademyNewham

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding teacher to join our thriving and successful Trust to teach MFL in Key Stages 3 and 4 at Langdon Academy. We offer French, German and Spanish and the person we’re looking for must be a German specialist and able to teach to GCSE.

We’re fortunate in having a very strong MFL department with dynamic leaders whose impact has been considerable in recent years, with even greater success expected from our current Year 11.

Ofsted’s view (May 2019) that most teaching in our secondary phase is “routinely outstanding” indicates the standard we set out to achieve in all classrooms. We are therefore seeking to recruit a colleague with excellent subject knowledge and clear evidence of their motivation and ability to deliver excellent outcomes for students.

Langdon Academy is a large 4-16 school, with over 1700 students in the secondary phase, and is part of Brampton Manor Trust, along with Brampton Manor Academy (an outstanding 11-18 Academy).

This appointment provides an opportunity to strengthen our team further with a new, talented and enthusiastic MFL specialist who aspires to further promotion beyond this appointment. If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

The scale of Langdon, the fact that it also has a primary phase, and its membership of Brampton Manor Trust provide considerable opportunity for the continuing development of our staff. This post would suit a NQT or a more experienced colleague looking to broaden their experience.

Please visit our websites at www.langdonacademy.org or www.bramptonmanor.org to apply and obtain further details about this role. All completed application forms must be sent by email to jobs@bramptonmanor.org.

Brampton Manor Trust is committed to the safeguarding of children. Enhanced DBS checks will always be carried out on new employees.

Please note: Interviews will take place on a rolling basis, as applications are received
