In 2017, pupil outcomes were excellent. At GCSE the P8 was +0.18; Value Added Post 16 +0.30 (well above the average).

The MFL department at Saint Cecilia’s has an exceptionally strong track record in GCSE and A level examinations and teaches pupils via a highly successful communicative, target-language based approach. We organise annual exchanges to Mallorca and Montpellier and regularly host external foreign-language theatre companies.
In 2017, GCSE results for French were 93% A*-C (50% A*-A); GCSE Spanish results were 72% A*-C (23% A*-A).
A level results were equally impressive; 100% A*-C in Spanish and 50% A*-A in French. A number of students have gone on to study MFL at university.
We are looking for a dedicated, inspirational Teacher of MFL, who can teach Spanish to A level and French to GCSE to join our successful team. The post is suitable for an NQT.
