Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages
(Spanish with French)
MPS or UPS
Required for September 2018
A permanent Teacher of MFL opportunity in a ‘good’ school (Ofsted 2017) with a Progress 8 score that is above national average.
Your new school
Kingsway Park High School opened in September 2010 in a purpose built, state of the art building with high quality facilities and resources. The school is a forward thinking and reflective learning community which ‘successfully brings together pupils from a wide range of backgrounds, races and cultures’ (Ofsted 2017).
Leadership is strong and effective within the school and there is an established ethos where ‘every pupil is valued’ (Ofsted 2017). The students’ behaviour is good and positive attitudes to learning are evident throughout the school ensuring that staff can focus on delivering excellent teaching and learning, and ensuring students continue to make good progress.
The staff members work collaboratively and strive to achieve outstanding, high quality teaching that provides a safe, supportive and encouraging environment for all students.
Your new role
As a new member of the team, you will be joining a well-established MFL department that presently offers French and Spanish.
Spanish is a fairly new offering to the school so it’s an excellent opportunity for someone who wishes to develop the numbers of students studying this language. The ability to teach French to KS3 is also essential.
Staff within the department are hardworking and committed and are looking to welcoming a like- minded candidate to join their collaborative team. There is a new Head of Department in post in September 2018. You will also be in our newly built Teaching block which has fantastic facilities.
What you’ll need to succeed
Applications are welcomed from enthusiastic MFL teachers who are passionate about their subject area and will always ‘go the extra mile’ for their students. This opportunity is open to newly qualified teachers, as well as those with more experience.
It is extremely important that all staff members have high expectations of themselves and the students they teach, and share our ethos that every pupil is valued.
What you’ll get in return
As a new member of the team you will be joining an inclusive school where staff morale is high. A quality induction, appraisal and development programme is offered to all staff members and future leaders are often grown internally making it an excellent place for career development.
We are confident that new teachers joining our school will feel welcomed and happy.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring and background check.
