Required as soon as possible: the Governors are seeking to appoint a temporary enthusiastic, energetic and inspiring Teacher of Music to be part of an effective team in the next stage of its development. We are seeking a person whose passion for Music is evident through the quality of the active and independent learning experiences they can create for our students. The successful candidate will make a strong and sustained contribution to the future development of the department, particularly at KS3 and GCSE, and will be expected to teach across the full age and ability range. Although the department is small, it forms part of the Performing Arts faculty who have a strong faculty identity and ethos who are committed to driving forward improvement and change within this area of the curriculum.
The successful candidate will:
o Be an excellent classroom teacher who can inspire and excite pupils about their learning at all key stages.
o Have a good Honours Degree (or equivalent) in Music.
o Be confident with the use of data for tracking student progress.
o Demonstrate their ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents, pupils and the local community.
