Teacher of Music - Part Time
With a range of popular extra-curricular enrichment activities, good GCSE results and offering two post 16 courses, the music department is a key curriculum area within the Academy, attracting pupils for entry via our music specialism entry route. We are looking to appoint an outstanding, motivated music practitioner to join a committed high quality, dynamic team (including twelve peripatetic staff), promoting interest in this popular and successful subject across the full age range of the school, with specific interest in the secondary phase.
The post holder will have the opportunity to work across secondary key stages to inspire students and contribute fully to an exciting and varied enrichment programme and performance calendar. You will be supported in aiming to achieve the highest possible standards in pupil achievement and progress, personal and professional development and wellbeing. The department offers first class resources and equipment in our purpose built suite of music classrooms serviced by a specialist technician.
We are seeking a strong, organised, well qualified practitioner with a degree and a teaching qualification who is keen to develop their own practice to the highest level and take advantage of our excellent professional learning. The candidate must be a compelling communicator with an ability to champion the subject to pupils with a fully comprehensive range of abilities. You will also bring real energy and dynamism to the role, alongside genuine enthusiasm and passion for your subject.
