Saltley Academy is looking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Music, who is ready to make a significant impact in a successful department, which last year moved into our new, purpose built Arts Centre. The successful candidate will be joining a well-led and successful team, committed to providing a quality experience for our students and ensuring that they achieve their full potential. They will be joining an Academy and a Multi Academy Trust committed to their professional development and to supporting them to achieve the best with our young people, with the Arts playing a central role in the life of the Academy and the Trust.

Saltley Academy is 11-16 comprehensive school in the heart of multi-cultural Birmingham. It is a member of the Washwood Heath Multi-Academy Trust (WHMAT). With two years of well above national average Progress 8 and 60% of students achieving A*-C in both English and Maths in 2016, the Academy is progressing fast in its mission to develop outstanding learners, ensure academic success and nurture happy citizens in a supportive and inspiring environment. Saltley Academy is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school in the West Midlands serving students between the ages of 11-16. The secondary school, situated in Birmingham has approximately 990 students on roll. It is part of the Washwood Heath Multi-Academy Trust.

Formerly Saltley School, Saltley Academy converted to academy status in 2015. The school has use of the facilities at Saltley Wellbeing Centre.
