Teacher of Music Salary: MPS/UPS
Consett Academy is currently looking to appoint an energetic and talented Teacher of Music, to join a thriving and forward thinking Directorate of Sport, Art and Performance and in doing so, make a real difference to our students' learing experience.
You will have the ability to inspire students to enjoy 'The Arts', both inside and outside of the classroom and you should have the ability or potential to teach A level Music.
We are looking for a colleague who:
- Is consistently Good, with the potential to be Outstanding;
- Is able to raise students aspirations and attainment;
- Can plan engaging lessons and ensure the use of assessment is effective in securing student progress;
- Experienced in running rehearsals and other extra-curricular groups
- Is willing and able to contribute to extra-curricular activities;
- Has high expectations of their students
- Consistently models excellent practice and has student achievement and progress at the forefront of their teaching.
- Wants an exciting opportunity to work in an expanding, vibrant school that makes a difference to our young people’s lives.

Connect Multi-Academy Trust is an ambitious Multi Academy Trust based in North Durham. The trust currently has 3 large secondary schools and 5 primary schools.
