An oversubscribed and exceptional school with an outstanding reputation, set on a leafy parkland campus, is seeking to appoint a dedicated and forward-thinking part-time Teacher of Music with possibility of teaching Drama at Key Stage 3.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the College’s Music curriculum to pupils in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
This is an opportunity to join a friendly, creative and collaborative department. We are looking to appoint an inspiring classroom teacher with excellent subject knowledge, who can transmit their own energy and love of learning to all their students.
Fostering an enjoyment of the subject through extra-curricular enrichment is of central importance to our work and we welcome applications from teachers who share this ethos.

The College is situated in Bishop’s Stortford within the beautiful landscaped grounds of a former teacher training college and is within 30 minutes of both London and Cambridge, with Stansted Airport just 10 minutes away. We have a roll of 900 students, both day and boarding, including a Sixth Form of 250 students.
Hockerill offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma as the sole course of study in the Sixth Form, with GCSEs and the (IB) Middle Years Programme in lower years.
