Teacher of Music

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational music practitioner to join our dynamic and hugely successful performing arts department.

Kirkburton Middle School is a thriving, over-subscribed and truly unique school which caters for pupils between the ages of 10 and 13. Teachers in our school can really teach as pupils have outstanding behaviours and a zest for learning. We encourage our staff to take risks and enjoy their teaching as we believe this leads to strong relationships and exceptional progress.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to develop a strong understanding of the journey from KS2 to KS3 and beyond, working alongside experienced primary, middle and secondary teachers. We also work very closely with feeder first schools, our local high school and Musica Kirklees.
