We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled, inspiring and forward-thinking colleague to join our music team. Right now, we are looking for an inspiring teacher who can bring music to life – and help us create a nurturing environment within which everyone can reach their full potential.

Our Music Department boasts excellent results and has huge student involvement; with over 120 students regularly taking part in our concerts and events. Our extra-curricular groups include Concert Band, Girls’ Choir, Boys’ Vocal Group, Senior Girls’ Choir, 6th Form Jazz Band, Close Harmony, and String Group, with several other groups and events regularly led by our A level Music Group. The successful candidate will possess the ability to inspire and enhance our students’ understanding and enjoyment of the subject.

At Horsforth School we believe in ‘opportunity and achievement for all’, are committed to the highest outcomes for students and to develop the best opportunities for staff. We are committed to being a ‘Greenhouse School’.

Located in north-west Leeds, the school is just five miles from the city centre with its thriving retail, leisure and cultural facilities, yet on the edge of open countryside. York, Harrogate and the Dales are within easy reach.

GCSE and A Level results are consistently well above the national averages and in 2022 the school had the best A Level results in the whole of Leeds. Horsforth School was also named one of the top schools in Yorkshire in The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide in 2022.
