The School

The Department

Together with PE and Dance & Drama, Music forms part of the Faculty of Physical Education & Extended Learning. The Music Department has an enthusiastic and committed team of 3 Music teachers. The Department has good facilities, situated in purpose built accommodation with a number of practice rooms alongside spacious teaching classrooms equipped with keyboards and computers. The Department works in close collaboration with the other creative arts subjects across the school.

Kingsbury High School has a rich musical tradition and has a reputation for high quality and inclusive musical performances and productions. The successful applicant would be expected to become fully involved in our curricular and extra-curricular programme of productions and festivals.

We seek an innovative and motivational Teacher of Music to work part time (Monday and Tuesday) with excellent subject knowledge, a desire to raise the achievement of students at all levels. The successful candidate will be committed to making a contribution to Music and the school beyond the classroom.

The vacancy is suitable for an NQT or someone looking to broaden their teaching experience. 

Newly qualified teachers will be supported by a programme of Induction and mentoring.
