Required for September 2024 onwards. This is a great opportunity for an outstanding, enthusiastic and well-qualified or newly qualified teacher of Music, who is keen to develop their teaching and leadership skills in a successful school that will provide great support and encouragement. Seven Kings is an oversubscribed harmonious, all through community school with exemplary behaviour.
Music is a popular and successful subject within an extremely well-resourced and self-contained Department, including 5 practice rooms and a designated IT Suite. The department is busy and thriving during lunchtimes and students regularly participate in Clubs, Spotlight Concerts and Buskers’ Lunches. We have two large scale All-Through Concerts during the year which are always extremely well attended by parents. Our team of peripatetic teachers offer instrumental lessons on both sites in Strings, Piano, Guitar, Ukulele and Drumkit. In Year 4 all students take part in WCET in Violin and Ukulele. The opportunity to lead Music in the Primary school is available for the right candidate working closely with the Learning Leader for Music.

department works collaboratively within the school and Seven Kings’ Learning
Partnership of 24 schools, to provide the highest standards of learning and teaching for our lovely, young people. We also run our own ECF programme across the partnership to ensure a supportive, personalised and collaborative 2 years of learning as well as leadership programmes to develop all of our staff.

About Seven Kings School
Seven Kings School is a mixed maintained all through school in Ilford, serving pupils from the ages of 4 to 18. The school is situated in the London Borough of Redbridge. Seven Kings has approximately 2000 students and is a community school maintained by Redbridge Borough Council.
The primary school opened in 2015, with all pupils automatically entitled to move to the secondary. In 2018, Seven Kings school was identified by Ofsted as one of the outstanding schools serving disadvantaged communities.
