Job overview

We are an oversubscribed 11-16 girls’ academy with 980 pupils where learners are supported by an outstanding programme of personal development, guidance, a personalised curriculum and high expectations. In January 2013 Ofsted recognised us as outstanding in all areas.

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Second in Performing Arts with a Music specialism. The ability to teach/be trained to teach Performing Arts is an advantage but not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for either an aspiring leader or a candidate already in a middle leadership role looking to develop their career.

We are currently at an exciting time in terms of our development. This is an opportunity for the successful candidate to take ownership of our Music provision. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing the curriculum, selecting the Music courses we follow at KS4 and creating excellent extra-curricular Music opportunities. Our newly appointed Senior Leadership Team believe in the importance of an Arts education and therefore want to invest within the Music department in order to achieve the best possible pupil outcomes.

Should you have questions or would like a tour of the school prior to the deadline, please contact: Mrs J Gallagher - Director of Study for Performing Arts email: jgallagher@fairfieldhighschool.co.uk

Further details and an application form can be accessed by the links below.

Closing date: 9.00am Thursday 17th October 2019

Interviews: Tuesday 22nd October 2019
