Job overview
Teacher of Music at The Evolution Centre, Shrewsbury. Required from June 2018.
Two day per week, permanent contract.
New Reflexions is a private, residential childcare company providing care and education for 9 to 17 year olds from all over the country who are experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties. Their secondary education placement, the Evolution Centre, provides education for students in key stage three and four within an 1860’s refurbished OFSTED “Outstanding” school, in a village location on the outskirts of Shrewsbury.
This is an exciting opportunity for a keen musician and qualified teacher to advance the school’s music curriculum, offering a vocational qualification. Ideal applicants will also be able to supplement this with the ability to teach Key Stage 3 History, Religious Education or other curriculum areas.
We offer a small supportive team environment, with plenty of opportunities for personal development. The company uses Reflective Therapeutic Intervention (RTI) in order to support students to better manage their own behaviour, full training will be provided.
The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
