Join our exciting journey – click here to attend our Recruitment Event on Tuesday 18th April 4.00pm – 5.30pm and find out more about Team SUA.

As Team SUA is rapidly growing, we are seeking to find a highly motivated Teacher of music. The past few years has seen our academy transform. We are now oversubscribed in Year 7. Our sixth form, SUA6, has tripled in size over the past three years. If you want to be part of our amazing journey, please read below!

We are an evidence informed academy, which has received local and national praise. We are relentless in our mission: To improve the life chances of the children of our wider community.

Our staff are incredible. They work hard for our students and constantly innovate and improve themselves and their practice to continually strive to be great.

In order to attract the best staff, we have a fantastic wellbeing offer, ranging from protected developmental time, dedicated teaching and learning mornings and afternoons, devoted to your development, an under-allocation timetable (compared to local and national benchmarks) and a whole programme of staff well-being initiatives (from yoga to pottery making).

This position would be to complement a fantastic group of colleagues who have steadily transformed their curriculum across the creative arts. Music is taught as a discrete subject an hour a week throughout key stage 3, and then becomes an option at key stage 4 and 5. We have a fantastic team, who create termly productions and arts events and we are very active in local community arts projects across the district.

The successful candidate will join a team of friendly and supportive colleagues who want to achieve the very best for our students. If this sounds exciting - this is the job for you!
