Teacher of Music (temporary, 1 year)

Our community is warm, caring and inclusive. We greatly value our committed and hard-working staff, whose dedication makes possible the achievements of our pupils.
We are seeking to appoint a full time teacher of Music for one academic year from Thursday 2 September 2021.
This post could suit either an experienced teacher, someone seeking NQT status (we can offer a full induction programme) or an exceptional graduate wanting to enter the profession (again, we have a full training and induction programme in place).
The ideal candidate for the post will be an enthusiastic and well-qualified musician who is educated to degree level. The ability to motivate and inspire (both students and teachers) is vital as well as being able to work as part of a strong team.
The Music Department
Music is integral to life at Alleyn’s. The musical life of our School is rich and diverse, and everyone is encouraged to participate in co-curricular musical activities beyond the classroom.
With more than 40 ensembles rehearsing each week, and over 50 performance opportunities in the course of a single year, we truly believe there is something for everyone.
The Music Department is particularly well-resourced and offers outstanding facilities, small teaching groups and a commitment to excellence.
The working environment is excellent and the staff engender a good-humoured and highly motivated atmosphere; relationships between the full-time staff and the visiting instrumental staff are excellent and highly valued.
