We are looking to appoint a Teacher of PE & Games – Netball specialism for either a January 2021 or April 2021 start. Essential to this position is a Netball specialism and either a BA QTS or a BSc Sport Science and PCGE qualification.  Desirable for this position is a holder of the UKCC Level 2 in Coaching Netball qualification as well as a qualification in First Aid.

The successful candidate should be able to inspire and motivate students through a diverse range of learning styles.  They should be able to work on ad hoc Saturdays and Sundays for sporting fixtures, as well as for periods during school holidays for match tours or other school trips.  Involvement with these latter responsibilities will particularly suit a teacher with strong organisational and communication skills.

A willingness to assist with a large range of extra-curricular activities is important in this dynamic and vibrant school. Teaching staff are expected to offer support to the learning, pastoral and co-curricular needs of our pupils to ensure the all-round quality of education offered at Harrodian. Founded in 1993, the school is co-educational and set in SW London in 25 acres of grounds with excellent sports facilities, including: tennis and netball courts, swimming pool, extensive playing fields, and astro turf.

About The Harrodian School

The Harrodian School is a mixed, non-denominational all-through independent day school situated in Barnes, South West London. The Harrodian School was founded by Lady Eliana and Sir Alford Houston-Boswell and opened in 1993. The school’s original intake of 65 students has expanded to over 900 students from the ages of 4-18. It offers state-of-the-art facilities, including a music centre, drama studios and expansive grounds.
