Teacher of PE (Boys) – MPR/UPR
Alderwood School has an exciting position to start in April 2020 teaching PE. We are looking for candidates that are willing to jump straight into the job and to work alongside an already established team to develop and encourage learning. We are an all through, 4-16 school and this vacancy is for a teacher who will initially be based at our senior site but will have the opportunity for professional development at our other sites.
You will need to possess QTS and newly qualified teachers are more than encouraged to apply. You will need to have or be willing to develop knowledge of the relevant subject matter as well as the techniques required to manage behaviour, not to mention the creative and fun elements involved with teaching in the classroom.
The person appointed will:
• Challenge and inspire our pupils
• Have a passion for sport and an understand of how best to develop each pupil's potential
• Contribute to the wider life of the school including some KS2 teaching
• Have a high level of knowledge across a wide range of sporting activities
