Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic PE Teacher to join our thriving PE Department. The successful candidate will be confident in teaching both boys and girls across KS3-KS5, including GCSE, OCR National in Sport and A-Level, as we have a high uptake for those qualifications within the department.  Candidates will have a passion for the subject and be able to deliver energetic and engaging lessons, striving to support students to achieve their very best.

The PE Department has a very active and varied extra-curricular timetable; therefore, the ideal candidate should be willing to get involved in the different activities offered to students and bring new ideas to the department.

Holding a valid mini bus licence would be advantageous to the role but not essential, as full training can be provided if required.

The Highfield School is an oversubscribed ‘good’ school with ‘outstanding’ leadership and management. You will be joining a professional, supportive team that is committed to our Cooperative Values and the wellbeing and CPD of staff. Our students are at the heart of everything we do and we encourage each of them to aim to achieve their full potential.

If you believe you can make a difference through high quality teaching and learning then we would like to hear from you.

We positively welcome applications from NQTs.  All new staff and NQTs are invited to attend induction training in their first term.
