The successful applicant will be a highly skilled teacher, with the ability to motivate, inspire and engage with students in creative and innovative ways – with the overall goal of ensuring excellent educational outcomes for our students. As we are an IB and IGCSE school, it would be an advantage for applicants to have recent experience with IBDP Sports, Exercise & Health Science, BTEC Sport and/or IGCSE PE.

Experience of playing or being involved in sports to a high standard would also be advantageous and the newly appointed person will be expected to play a key part in the delivery of our student-athlete and leadership programmes, as well as contributing to the wide ranging extra-curricular programme. The successful applicant will also be allocated a tutor group, and will be strongly aligned with the ‘Making a Difference’ ethos and values of South Island School.

The position will be a full-time renewable contract for an initial two year period from August 2021. Support with obtaining Hong Kong residence will be provided if necessary. See ESF Terms and Conditions for further details of the package.
