Job overview
We wish to appoint an inspirational teacher to join our PE team from April 2019 or earlier. The successful candidate will have an excellent teaching record and the ability to teach PE across Key Stage 3 and 4, along with the commitment to develop and run weekly extra-curricular activities for students. The primary and secondary phases of our school hold the Silver School Games Mark Award.
Applications from NQTs are welcome as the school has a strong NQT training and support programme. An additional TLR may be available for a Head of Year role.
Prendergast Vale School is an all through school, nursery to Year 11, and rated as Good by Ofsted in February 2018. The school benefits from being part of the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools.
Our school motto is “We are forever learning” and the successful candidate will be expected to be committed to their own professional development. We are committed to providing excellent CPD for Middle Leaders and offer the accredited National Award for Middle Leaders (NPQML) to all Middle Leaders. We offer a comprehensive and supportive induction programme for all new members of staff. You will also have access to a rich and varied CPD programme within the school and across the Federation.

Prendergast Vale is a small school within a big community. As a member of the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools, we are stronger together. The Leathersellers’ Federation of schools is made up of a group of three secondary and two primary schools as well as Prendergast 6th Form. We are very fortunate to be part of the Federation and receive a lot of support from the Leathersellers’ Company, which helps our pupils succeed.
