Required for a permanent contract from 1st January 2018.

The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher of  Physical Education to join an experienced and successful department. 

The successful candidate would join a Department delivering a wide variety of P.E. and recreational activities throughout the school. A commitment to team games and extra curricular activities is desirable as the school enjoys a high reputation for competitive sports. 

This post would suit a Newly Qualified Teacher or someone with more experience. The person appointed is expected to teach up to GCSE as part of a team. The successful candidate will contribute to the vibrant extra-curricular provision at the school. 

The ideal candidate will enjoy the challenge of teaching well-motivated and able pupils in this selective school, 4 times judged ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED, which is committed to the ideals of Catholic education and where GCSE and 'A' Level results are consistently excellent.

About St Michael's Catholic Grammar School

St Michael’s is a girls-only (before sixth form), selective grammar, Roman Catholic secondary school with sixth form situated in North Finchley, London. It is a voluntary-aided state school that is part of the Archdiocese of Westminster. A smaller than average school, it will provide 920 places for secondary and sixth form students, when fully subscribed.

The school was established in 1908, became a Voluntary Aided Grammar School in 1958 and began to include boys in its sixth form in September 2009.
