Job overview
We are looking to appoint a full-time teacher of Physical Education to join a highly motivated and successful team. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed PE teacher to teach across all key stages. Results in public examinations are excellent. We would also very much welcome candidates who can offer a second subject.
Applications are welcome from experienced colleagues and those new to the profession. Desborough College is an excellent place to start your teaching career, within an experienced and innovative department, and in a school where behaviour is outstanding and students are keen to learn. There may also be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and salary is negotiable based on experience.
There is a large programme of extra-curricular sports so a candidate with particular expertise in a sport would be desirable.

Desborough College is a thriving and rapidly growing secondary school for boys, with a co-educational Sixth Form. The secondary school has links with Radley College, another boys’ school. This partnership offers the students of Desborough College unique opportunities to participate in activities with Radley’s staff and students, including joint lectures, sports coaching sessions and other extra-curricular activities.

“Students are happy in the college and say they feel safe and enjoy lessons. Their behaviour is consistently good and they are always willing to work together in lessons. Their enjoyment of school is supported by high attendance figures. Teachers have made good and rapid progress in raising standards across all year groups. Teaching is good overall and there is some that is outstanding in mathematics, drama and art.”
