We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, energetic and inspiring PE teacher to join a strong PE Department and play a key role in delivering an extensive Netball programme to committed and talented netballers.

The successful candidate will teach Physical Education to highly motivated and talented pupils from EYFS to the Upper Sixth. This will include teaching and delivering a wide range of sports and activities and supporting our extra-curricular programme. You will need to be able to deliver Netball to a high standard, as you will coach one of our A teams.

If you have experience coaching and or playing Netball to a high standard, we would be delighted to hear from you. Applications would also be welcome from NQTs with Netball experience and those looking to begin a career in teaching. The ability to teach another of our key sports to a high standard would be advantageous. 

PE at South Hampstead High School

The main sports within the curriculum at South Hampstead High School are Netball, Football, Dance, Gymnastics, Athletics, Cross-Country and Cricket. Our aim is to cultivate a positive attitude towards recreational and competitive sport, developing the skills and team spirit needed for a lifetime enjoyment of sport.

You will be joining a department that offers a wide variety of opportunities that further enrich the experiences of our girls, including a wide variety of competitive and recreational clubs, an extensive fixtures programme, trips to live sport events, weekend tournament residentials and short and long-haul sports tours. 

South Hampstead has excellent sporting facilities. On site we have a full-sized Sports Hall and an outdoor Netball court. Our main facilities are off-site at our Sports Ground on Lymington Road, a 10 minute walk away. Here we have five floodlit Netball courts, one seven-a-side floodlit Football pitch, eight floodlit Tennis courts, a full-size Cricket pitch, Dance studio, fitness suite and two Squash courts.
