An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint an outstanding teacher to join the PE department in this Specialist Sports College. Although specialisms are technically a thing of the past, ours is one that we passionately believe in. The successful candidate will clearly be able to demonstrate their effectiveness as a teacher and the wider contribution they will make to developing sport and fitness in our school. In return, you’ll find yourself working with a great team of teachers and coaches on a huge, 43-acre site with outstanding facilities for sport.
To be that person, you will already have evidence of your success in sport and in teaching, whether in your training or in your current setting. At Langdon, we take examination and sporting success seriously and aim to provide exceptional development opportunities for our students.
Langdon Academy is a 3-16 school, sponsored by Brampton Manor Trust. We work in close partnership with Brampton Manor Academy (an outstanding 11-18 Academy), which is the other school within our multi-academy trust (MAT). There is great spirit, energy and optimism in the school since joining the MAT in 2014 which has led to substantial improvements and successes in every aspect of school life, placing the school slightly above the national average for Progress 8 and substantially above for the English Baccalaureate. However, this is by no means sufficient, given the potential of our students.
This is an excellent time to join Langdon Academy and Brampton Manor Trust, providing opportunities for further development, including future scope to gain experience in Langdon’s Primary Phase or in Brampton Manor’s highly successful Sixth Form. So, if you’re a serious sports person, looking to develop your career in a really vibrant PE department, it’s time we talked.
Please visit our websites at www.bramptonmanor.org or www.langdon.newham.sch.uk to apply and obtain further details about this role. All completed application forms must be sent by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Brampton Manor Trust is an equal opportunities employer. We are fully committed to the safeguarding of children. Enhanced DBS, Barred List and Prohibition checks will always be carried out on new employees.
