Rugby and cricket specialisms would be particularly desirable.
The Nelson Thomlinson School is an outstanding school, located on the fringes of the Lake District National Park. The successful candidate will be expected to play a full and active role in the continuation of this success as well as delivering the highest standards and outcomes in PE at KS3, GCSE and A level. The Nelson Thomlinson School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in Wigton, Cumbria. There are approximately 1300 students at the school between the ages of 11-18.
The Nelson Thomlinson School was founded in 1714, with its present school forming in 1969 after joining together with Nelson Thomlinson Grammar School and the Wigton Secondary School. In 2012, a multi-purpose hall was opened by former headmaster, Mr Ireland, which was named The Peter Ireland Building.

The Nelson Thomlinson School wants all students to achieve academic excellence in a caring and nurturing learning environment.
