A good honours graduate is required to teach Physical Education to all abilities at KS3 and KS4.
The Performance Department at St Thomas More Catholic High School is a good Department which achieves excellent results. This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring teacher to contribute further to an already successful team and build on the high standards and encourage students across the age and ability range.
You will have responsibility for leading the quality of teaching and learning for students in your classes. This will involve: setting and articulating high expectations for students, planning, teaching effectively using appropriate resourcing to challenge and engage all learners. With your excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm, you will have the opportunity to teach across the full age and ability range (Years 7-11). We pride ourselves on offering excellent extracurricular provision so the successful candidate will be required to lead clubs after school throughout the year and take our school teams on fixtures.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SCHOOL
St. Thomas More High School is a voluntary aided Catholic comprehensive school for boys and girls aged 11 to 16, situated close to the centre of Crewe, in Cheshire. It is smaller than average; at present there are 604 pupils on roll with slightly more boys than girls . Most pupils are drawn from four parishes within the Shrewsbury Diocese, and the school serves a wide, diverse area that includes areas both of social deprivation and relative affluence.
