This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of PE/Sport to join a friendly and vibrant school, where pupils are highly motivated to learn, and behaviour is excellent.

PE and Sport at the school is an integral and important part of the curriculum. They have a ‘Sport for All’ ethos and want their girls to have a positive experience with a variety of sports at a young age.

They are passionate about ensuring the girls at the school develop in a fun, safe and happy environment whilst educating them not only in sports but as young people.

The school curriculum & co-curriculum programmes will allow their girls to be active, healthy and collaborate as part of a team whilst exploring all types of sports.

The school are looking for an accomplished sports teacher who can offer a wide range of expertise. The ability to teach to a high standard across a full range of activities including Games, Dance, Gymnastics, Fitness and Swimming would be expected. In addition, commitment to the schools extensive co-curricular programme of clubs, fixtures and inter-house competition is essential.

You will be joining a department that has access to a range of facilities across two sites, as well as excellent local facilities off-site. Their main games include hockey, football, netball, tennis, cricket and they regularly compete against local schools and in competitions in these sports.

The PE curriculum is made up of fitness, orienteering and aesthetic activities like dance and gymnastics. Swimming is a stand-alone activity that also takes place weekly and contributes greatly to the curriculum and fixture timetable. They have positive relationships with local swim clubs and continued success in individual and team competitions.

The successful candidate will be a dedicated team player with an enthusiastic ‘can-do’ approach and eager to go the extra mile to ensure the girls achieve their sporting and personal potential in an environment that is both challenging and supportive.
