Westminster City School is a successful 11-18 boys’ Christian non-denominational comprehensive academy with a mixed sixth form. Ours is a lively and vibrant learning community situated in the heart of central London with all the challenges and advantages of an inner city school.
The school was judged as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in early 2013 with an outstanding curriculum and governance. We are not complacent and are pro-active in our ambition to become recognised as an “Outstanding” school and outcomes have improved significantly. We are seeking to recruit a dedicated, professional and highly skilled teacher of PE. You will have a track record of delivering consistently good and often outstanding PE. Whilst it is essential that you have a wide experience of PE we will be happy to develop your knowledge of the courses on offer if necessary. We have a rich tradition of excellence in Football, Basketball, Cricket and Athletics but would welcome applications from candidates who offer other sports. You will be joining a highly professional department comprising teachers and expert coaches. A full contribution to extra- curricular PE activities (see our web-site for the extensive range of sporting opportunities). We welcome applications from experienced teachers or those early in their career.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will need to undertake a criminal record check via the DBS.
Because the post-holder will be required to supervise changing rooms for reasons of privacy and decency only male applicants will be considered.
