Westminster City School is a successful 11-18 boys’ Christian non-denominational comprehensive academy with a mixed sixth form. Ours is a lively and vibrant learning community situated in the heart of central London with all the challenges and advantages of an inner city school. We are fortunate to be surrounded by many large companies who support the school and provide many opportunities for collaboration. The school was judged as ‘Good’ by OFSTED with an outstanding curriculum and governance and standards have improved considerably since that judgement.

We are seeking to recruit a dedicated, professional and highly skilled teacher of PE. You will have a track record of delivering consistently good and often outstanding PE. Whilst it is essential that you have a wide experience of GCSE PE we will be happy to develop your knowledge of BTEC sport if necessary. We are particularly strong in Football, Basketball, Cricket and Athletics and more recently Rugby. PE is delivered to a high standard both in lessons and via a comprehensive suite of extra- curricular PE activities (see our web-site for the extensive range of sporting opportunities); you will be expected to take a full part. You will be joining a highly professional department comprising teachers and expert coaches. You will be expected to work closely with our experienced head of department who will mentor you as you develop. This is a significant next step in your career and we therefore welcome applications from experienced teachers.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will need to undertake a criminal record check via the DBS. Because the post-holder will be required to supervise changing rooms for reasons of privacy and decency only male applicants will be considered.
