We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and passionate Teacher of PE to help make a positive impact on the young people at Turves Green Boys’ School. The successful candidate will also hold a TLR for being Pastoral Intervention Lead.

In addition to the classroom teacher responsibilities you will also be mentoring pupils or groups of pupils to remove barriers to learning. You will be required to monitor the impact of these interventions and work closely with SLT and pastoral staff.

About you:

We are looking for a candidate with a real passion to help improve the life chances for all pupils. Your skills will include:

• Being a good classroom practitioner with a strong understanding of how children learn;
• Having a proven track record of raising attainment through their teaching and learning,
• making a positive impact within and beyond their own classroom;
• Possessing a passion to make a difference in pupils’ lives and showing a commitment to
• pastoral care;
• Be able to work with pupils on a one-one basis and in group sessions/workshops.
