[Full-Time – 37 hours per week, approximately 12 month fixed term contract required for cover, to commence August 2018]
Derby College is looking to recruit a highly skilled individual to deliver Performing Arts at our Joseph Wright Centre. You will be a dedicated and motivated professional, providing outstanding teaching and learning. In addition, you will be qualified at degree level in Performing Arts and hold a recognised Level 5/6 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or working towards achieving this.
Applicants will need to have experience in Contemporary Dance, Jazz Dance, Choreography and Dance Performance. In addition, experience of teaching and assessing Business/Industry based units would be advantageous. As an experienced Coordinator you’ll also contribute to the development of new strategies to improve the delivery and quality of teaching and learning on our Level 2 and Level 3 programmes. Excellent administration and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team are also essential in this role.
The successful candidate will also be expected to maintain their strong industry links, develop collaborative activities with industry partners, add to the department’s research and knowledge and enhance students’ employability prospects in the creative industries.
