Rickmansworth School is an 11-18 heavily oversubscribed co-educational partially (35%) selective academy with 1517 students on roll, increasing to around 1575 students over the next two years. Academic results are strong at KS4 and KS5 with the vast majority of students securing their first choice university destinations.

The School is in a very strong, stable financial position with over £6M recently spent on school expansion including a new Sixth-form centre, performing arts theatres and an Innovation & Design Centre. The School is also supported extremely well by a fantastic PTA and Foundation. Our outstanding staff well-being programme includes fortnightly well-being periods, access to our fitness suite and swimming pool, flu vaccinations and complimentary eye tests. The School’s admissions criteria gives preference to staff members’ children.

We are looking for a practical, well-organised and reliable person to join an enthusiastic and dedicated team in this highly successful Photography Department within Rickmansworth School.

About the Department:

The photography department at Rickmansworth School is an extremely successful and thriving department. GCSE and A-Level results are consistently excellent. At GCSE 62% achieved a grade 7 or above whereas at A Level over 70% of students achieved an A* or A. It is one of the highest performing subjects in the School and is very popular amongst students, with five classes at Key Stage 4 and four classes at Key Stage 5.  

The department is very well resourced for wet photography and have started to branch into digital photography. The staff are very experienced and work cohesively to support and develop each other’s practice; sharing expertise for the betterment of students progress and enjoyment of the subject.
