Queen’s Gate is a thriving GSA day school for girls aged 4 –18 and is ideally situated in Central London to take advantage of the many educational opportunities on offer. The PE department makes full use of many excellent local sporting facilities. Pupils represent the Borough at a variety of sports at the London Youth Games and others compete at National Level. We have successful Netball, Hockey and Rounders Teams and we are renowned for the success of our Cross Country Squad. Girls have also achieved success in the Biathlon and Biathle at National and European levels. Early morning clubs, a Fencing Academy, Tennis Academy, Rowing Squads and sporting trips are all features of the PE Department.

We wish to appoint from January 2017 a highly motivated, talented, dynamic and innovative Physical Education teacher to join our very successful department. Applicants would be expected to show ability and enthusiasm to teach a broad curriculum as well as having their own areas of sporting expertise; netball expertise would be ideal.

Applicants should be committed to raising standards within the curriculum, as well as making a significant contribution to a flourishing extra curricular programme. The successful candidate will be an effective PE specialist who is flexible and able to inspire pupils, promoting the subject throughout the Junior and Senior schools. The successful candidate will also be expected to carry out administrative duties in connection with PE and to play a part in the life of the School, including pastoral responsibilities.

About Queen's Gate School

Queen's Gate School is an all-through independent day school for girls aged 4-18, housed in five Victorian buildings in South Kensington, London. There are around 500 pupils on roll, with a wide range of ethnic and cultural backgrounds, reflecting the diversity of the city.

Queen's Gate School was founded in 1891 by Miss Eleanor Beatrice Wyatt in her parents' home. The present site was acquired in 2005. The school is an educational trust overseen by a board of governors.
