Job overview

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational, and dynamic teacher of girls PE to join our thriving department.  

The role represents an exciting opportunity for any candidate who is eager to be part of a department that is looking to secure the highest standards, both academically and physically, across the full range of age and ability.  

The successful candidate will have a specialism in Physical Education and will be able to teach to at least KS4 with the opportunity to teach KS5. The successful candidate will be able to put their vision for teaching and learning into practice, supported by a highly able team of staff. They will model excellent teaching practice and inspire others through the delivery of effective and inspiring lessons. An understanding of BTEC or other alternative courses would be beneficial but training can be provided if necessary. 

We are looking for a teacher that wants to develop the children’s love for PE and sport. An enthusiastic, inspiring individual who will work well with staff and pupils alike and be committed to their own professional development.

About Cheltenham Bournside School and Sixth Form Centre

Cheltenham Bournside School and Sixth Form Centre is a mixed, non-denominational academy school for students aged 11 to 18. It is located in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and currently has about 1,700 students and 360 sixth form students.

It settled in its current location of Warden Hill in the early part of the 1970s and converted to academy status in 2011.
