The King’s School is a selective co-educational boarding and day school of 860 pupils in years 9-13. The school, dating back to 597 and situated in the heart of the historic cathedral city of Canterbury, has an outstanding reputation as one of the country’s leading independent schools.
The Physical Education Department is well-established at King’s and teaches Core PE for pupils in Year 9 and 10 as well as offering GCSE and A level Physical Education courses. BTEC Sport has also recently been introduced for a small number of pupils as an alternative to A level PE.
We seek to appoint a well-qualified, talented, and motivated individual for April or September 2022 who can join the committed and collegiate department of four full-time teachers,11 graduate sports assistants and a wide range of professional sports coaches. We are looking for a candidate with a good degree in a related subject from a well-respected university who can enhance the academic life of the department.
