Are you looking for a new challenge in a supportive and welcoming environment? We have an exciting opportunity to join our vibrant PE department and work with our students across all Key Stages – ECTs are also welcomed.
We currently offer a wide range of sports to our young people, but the ability to teach basketball and/or rugby would be desirable. PE is staffed by a strong team of teachers and enjoys good facilities, including a 3G Turf all-weather surface, a six-badminton-court sports hall, and a fitness suite, along with plenty of outdoor space and equipment to support learning in lessons. In addition, the department also has very strong links with local primary schools.
We offer GCSE PE, BTEC Sport Levels 2 and 3 and A level PE, with a wide range of extra-curricular activities, so a strong commitment to these is essential.
With our ethos of ‘Learning, Respect and Belonging’, we have high aspirations for everyone and expect everyone to contribute positively to the school by working hard and participating in school activities. Homewood School & Sixth Form Centre is a mixed 11 – 18 wide ability school with Academy status with 2,100 students including 350 in the Sixth Form. We are part of Tenterden Schools’ Trust working in collaboration with local primary schools serving the Wealden town of Tenterden and the surrounding villages. The school is situated on the edge of Tenterden and enjoys a large semi-rural site overlooking open countryside.
