The school would like to appoint an inspirational teacher of Girl’s PE who has a passion for enthusing students to participate in extra-curricular sports and activities. We are looking to appoint someone who is an outstanding teacher of Girl’s PE with an impressive academic and practical performance background and who will have the ability to assist the future development of Girl’s PE and sport in the school. We are also interested in hearing from candidates from aesthetic sports backgrounds such as Gym, Dance, Trampolining and Cheerleading. A second subject would be an advantage. We welcome applications from NQTS as we have a strong department to support their NQT year.
The successful candidate will teach examination PE which at Key stage 4 will be Edexcel GSCE PE and at Key Stage 5 BTEC Level 3Sports.

St. Simon Stock Catholic School Founded in 1967 as a school of the Archdiocese of Southwark, the School recently celebrated 50 years of Catholic education serving Maidstone and the west of Kent. As a Catholic Comprehensive school of all abilities within a selective area, the School is known for its high standards of academic, vocational, sporting and pastoral achievements. The School has a Sports Hall and Designated 6th Form Centre, specialist Science labs [the School has a Science specialism], Technology workshops, Muga sports facility.
CPD - involves a series of twilight sessions on areas identified by staff through appraisal; electives are created from courses attended by staff to feedback to colleagues; training for new areas e.g. LGBTQ,SEN, Pupil Premium, etc. A Senior Member of Staff has the encouragement of career progression as part of their role in addition to Performance Management and CPD in order to gain a holistic overview of training.
OFSTED - Section 5-Good; Section 48-Outstanding in all categories.
