An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of a full time Teacher of Physical Education at The Oxford Academy.  We are a Good school with Outstanding Leadership Management and Professional Development.  

All levels of experience considered.  

The PE department is a high performing department and benefits from superb sports facilities along with outstanding relationships with students, other staff and the community. 

The Academy’s sporting facilities includes a 3G dome with rubber crumb surface, sand dressed Astroturf, Sports Hall, Dance Studio, sports science suite, 24 station fitness suite, 3 dedicated PE classrooms, one of which has ICT facilities, substantial fields and a Multi-Use Games Area. 

In Years 7 and 8 students have 4 hours of PE a week and 2 hours a week at Key stage 4. GCSE PE and BTEC Sports Studies are taught in Years 9 – 11 and BTEC National (Sports Development and Coaching) at KS5. Extra-curricular provision occurs every break time and most evenings after school. We run school teams in a range of sports including Athletics, Basketball, Football, Futsal, Rugby, Netball, Rounders and Volleyball competing in district, county and national competitions. 

We are looking for a motivated and inspiring teacher of PE to enthuse and engage students.   The ideal candidate will be able to use creativity to develop rich and exciting lessons in a broad range of sports and disciplines. They will be ambitious and adaptable, with excellent planning and classroom management skills.
