This is an exciting opportunity to join Sibford School as an enthusiastic full-time or part-time Teacher in the PE Department. This role will include the responsibility for Head of Junior School PE.  All Sibford pupils enjoy a timetable of Physical Education lessons and Games set in more than 50 acres of beautiful grounds and surrounded by glorious Oxfordshire countryside.


The successful applicant must have:

·        Enthusiasm for sport with an ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons;

·        Obtained QTS

·        Proven experience of teaching Physical Education, ensuring pupils achieve their full potential against predicted grades;

·        A professional attitude to responsibilities as a classroom teacher and member of a team;

·        An ability to promote a love of sport through teaching and involvement in extracurricular activities both in school and on residential trips.

·        An ability to manage, motivate and coach school teams across a variety of sports including officiating where applicable.

·        The skills to promote and help organise a range of events that enable pupils to further extend their sporting experience whilst also raising the profile of PE/Games.

·        Good organisational skills to arrange and attend sports tours where appropriate to do so.

·        Knowledge to support the PE Scholarship programme by acting as a mentor to a selected group of pupils.

·        Ability and enthusiasm to contribute to the wider life and activities of our boarding school.

Sibford School is set in more than 50 acres of grounds and is surrounded by glorious Oxfordshire countryside.

Established in 1842 as a co-educational boarding school for the children of Quaker families, Sibford has, from the outset, been a centre of educational excellence.
