Teacher of Physical Education (PE) & Health & Activities Director

The Role

We are seeking a visionary teacher to join our team as a Physical Education Teacher and Director of Activities. This role encompasses teaching physical education classes across the whole school and overseeing the planning and implementation of extracurricular activities and events aimed at promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and student engagement

You will also be responsible for fostering students’ passion for learning, and creating an engaging and dynamic learning environment, where students feel empowered to develop their skills, apply them effectively and realise their dreams and aspirations.

·      Resourcefulness: Use resources effectively to enable students to excel in their learning journey.

·      Care: Provide excellent pastoral care, safeguarding and maintain high expectations of effort and behaviour.

·      Professional Learning: Participate in professional learning and contribute to regular staff training/meetings

Person Profile and Qualifications

·        Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.

·        Should have an EU passport or already have the right to work in Spain.

·        Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education and Health.

·        Valid Teaching Qualification - PGCE/BEd or equivalent, EU-recognised preferred.

·        Strong experience in international schools, with experience of teaching PE, Health and Activities, including a track record of success in international competitions.

·        Strong knowledge of, and experience of nurturing inquiry-based, interdisciplinary, project-based and research skills, and their application in real-world contexts.

·        Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.

·        Accomplished in using technology and digital tools to enhance learning and teaching.

·        Familiarity with current international standards and best practices in PE, Health and Activities.
