The school has 1261 students on roll, plus 200 in the Sixth Form. “In this high performing school, students make rapid progress and reach high standards in many subjects” “Leaders and managers at all levels, provide the drive and ambition needed to ensure that this wonderful school continually improves”
(OFSTED, April 2014)
Physical Education is a highly popular subject at the school, attracting high numbers across examinable courses in KS4 and 5. However, we are not complacent - working with a team of passionate and dedicated practitioners, you will contribute to the development of a faculty that aims to maintain an outstanding reputation.
The PE department is extremely committed to providing a safe, relevant, enjoyable and all-inclusive curriculum. As a school we recognise the role that sport can play in the holistic development of a young person and the integral role this plays in society. The PE department provides a wide variety of sports, ensuring that pupils can pursue their sporting interests both inside and outside of school. In addition to providing an inclusive curriculum we are a school that actively encourages the pursuit of sporting excellence. We have a number of students and sports teams that compete at a regional and national level with our most successful sports being football, basketball and athletics.
