We are seeking to appoint, from September 2023, a suitably qualified, dynamic, and inspirational teacher with the ability to teach Physics to Key Stage 3, 4 and 5, including both GCSE and A Level. The ideal candidate would also have the ability to teach an additional subject at Key Stage 3 and 4.
Energy, commitment and a willingness to take a full and active part in the broader life of this busy school are essential. The successful candidate will be passionate and committed to the enrichment and extension of the students’ learning experience, contributing to the School’s STEM innovation and research specialism.
Please note that successful candidates may also be provided with the opportunity to apply for the position of Curriculum Area Manager, of Science and Engineering. This additional responsibility will be advertised internally and require the submission of an expression of interest and competitive interview.

About Rishworth School
Rishworth School is a mixed, non-denominational, all-through independent day and boarding school situated in Rishworth, West Yorkshire. The school has a Christian ethos but welcomes students from all faiths. There are approximately 450 pupils at Rishworth, between the ages of 3-19.
Rishworth School was established in 1724 by John Wheelwright in a small building, now used as the school’s chapel. The junior school, Heathfield opened in 1951. The school is set around 130 acres of parkland. It is a founder member of the Society of Headmasters for Independent Schools (SHMIS). Rishworth and Heathfield both offer an extensive range of learning facilities and share a swimming pool, performing arts centre and playing fields.
