Full time, 12-month contract with the possibility of a permanent role

A well-qualified and dynamic Physics Teacher who will inspire and challenge the girls to think and learn in a supportive and positive environment, is required to join our team of dedicated professionals.

Sciences are a popular choice for our students with almost 70% of the Sixth Form cohort taking one or more Science at A Level or at Higher Level as part of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. There are currently 57 girls studying Physics at this level.

The successful applicant will be part of a team of 10 dedicated professionals. The department is extremely well-resourced and full support with induction and continuing professional development is provided.

Experience or ability to teach another science is desirable but is not a requirement of the post.

All teachers are expected to contribute to the rich co-curricular life of the College, but there are no residential duties.

As one of the world’s leading schools, and with a strong pioneering heritage, our aim is to embody excellence, independence and empowerment in the education of young women. You will join a friendly and supportive community of committed professionals who believe that girls are at the heart of all we do. We are ambitious for their futures, collectively and individually, and have been so for over 165 years.

Applications are welcome from graduates and teachers from either the independent or maintained sector. Consideration will also be given to well qualified physicists interested in working towards gaining their PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
