Peter Symonds is a vibrant sixth form college in Winchester which has been rated by Ofsted as ‘outstanding’ in every respect. We have a large team of committed and talented staff who are at the heart of the success of the College.
Physics is a popular subject within the College, with about 500 students across the two year groups. The teaching team consists of six full timers supported by two highly experienced technicians. We currently follow the AQA linear specification, and make extensive use of online resources as well as our well-equipped dedicated accommodation. Results are very good, with the department consistently rated ‘oustanding’ in recent years.
We have a vacancy for a Teacher of Physics on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have a good academic degree in Physics or a closely related subject and we welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified teachers.
