We require for the coming academic year a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Physics to join this high achieving department. The science department at St. Dominic’s is very successful and all courses are heavily oversubscribed. Physics is a popular subject with around 200 students studying it across both year groups. Attainment and achievement are well above national benchmark and the department is well resourced. The successful candidate will teach the OCR A linear programme.

We are in the top 10 colleges nationally for academic attainment and are part of the Maple Group of high performing Sixth Form Colleges. St. Dominic's is the longest established centre for Catholic post-16 education in the Diocese of Westminster. The College provides a wide choice of GCE A, Applied A and AS courses. In addition, BTEC Level 3/ Extended Diploma (Edexcel)
All students are fully supported by Personal Tutors in preparation for employment or higher education. The College provides a Religious Education programme for all students. The Course is accredited by the National Open College Network and students are awarded a Level 1 in Year 12 and a Level 2 Year 13. The examination success rate is outstanding and the vast majority of students progress to higher education. A wide range of extra-curricular activities is available.
